Lorine Hawthorne achieved her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing in 2004 from the University of Maryland after studying and receiving degrees in Biology from the University of Delaware and Respiratory Therapy from the Ohio State University. All of her post graduate work was based around children. She’s worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care unit at Johns Hopkins and Inova Alexandria before retiring to raise her two children. After the kids went back to school, Lorine worked as an assistant director of nursing for two local companies where she oversaw treatment for pediatric patients and worked closely with the families to ensure that their children received the care that they needed thus giving her a total of over 27 years working in Pediatric Health Care. Lorine has been married for more than 15 years and is raising two girls.
