Mrs. Lynn Schab
Teacher: Grade 4
Mrs. Lynn Schab has been part of the Corpus Christi School community since its second year. She has been in the classroom for 24 years, spending the first two years as a first grade instructional aide. Mrs. Schab taught first grade for 10 years and second for one year. For the last eleven years, she has been teaching fourth and fifth grades. Prior to teaching, Mrs. Schab was very involved as a parent on the PTO and was co-chair of the Corpus Christi marketing committee, helping to develop the school’s original logo.
After spending time in Turkey as a foreign exchange student, Mrs. Schab attended Mount St. Mary’s College. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in sociology, she worked for the Muscular Dystrophy Association working with children suffering from neuromuscular diseases as well as being responsible for major fundraising events throughout Maryland.
Mrs. Schab currently lives in Burke with her husband of 35 years. All of their children graduated from Corpus Christi School, Bishop Ireton High School, and James Madison University. In Mrs. Schab’s free time, she enjoys gardening, running and biking, and manages the backstage of the Burke Civic Ballet’s Nutcracker and Buffa’s Dance Studio’s yearly recital productions.
In addition to teaching fourth and fifth grade language arts and social studies, Mrs. Schab is the intermediate department chair. She is also the moderator for the Student Council Association, a very active school organization promoting many community service activities throughout the year. Mrs. Schab feels blessed that for over 28 years she has called Corpus Christi/St. Anthony School her family.
