Señora Méndez is the Spanish teacher from kindergarten to eighth grade. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from New Hampshire College, then earned two master’s degrees in education and business administration. Additionally, she has an associate’s degree in special education from the University of Puerto Rico. Sra. Méndez worked in the private business sector for twelve years, which gave her the opportunity to travel all over the world! She taught first to ninth grade for thirteen years in Puerto Rico at St. Vincent of Paul School. 

Sra. Méndez joined the St. Anthony of Padua School community in 2017 as the third to fifth grade instructional aide. In August 2018, she started as the Spanish teacher and was happy to return to teaching. 

Sra. Méndez was born in Brooklyn and later moved to Puerto Rico when her parents retired. She is married to a great husband who supports her mission to teach! They have two sons.  Sra. Méndez loves to cook and has taken many cooking classes in different countries and owned a catering service for a few years! She enjoys dancing and reading in both English and Spanish!
